Where does my soul sleep?

Where does my soul sleep?

Where the bamboo rush
sways in the wind
dancing to the birds.

Where the paradise duck
sneaks into the kitchen going to snatch
at some peanut butter jelly sandwiches.

Where the blackbirds
go to fly away into the sunset
after stuffing itself with old mouldy bread.

Where a stray cat
comes to
take comfort.

Where every weekend
a boy comes
for peace and silence.

Where my soul sleeps
as quiet as a mouse.

I am learning to help others with understanding our work, goals, ideas, etc.
I am going great with my learning because I can interact with others but I can get distracted every now and again, for example I might be sitting down quietly doing my work and then someone brings up the cinema and I could start talking about a movie that I want to see.
My next steps are to be more positive and think about things from another angle.

  1. I like the part where you said when the trees danced for the birds, I can imagine all of it in my head, and when the birds go into the house and eat all the peanut butter jelly sandwiches.
